Heat Report 22

It's been hot enough here for long enough now I have great pity on all things existing out of doors. Animate e inanimate are experiencing great suffering.
Parks filled with drooping dried out trees
Homeless people crowded around under those trees
Paint on old cars and houses turning to dust
Paint dust blowing all over everything
Crackling broken grass underfoot
Nobody walking around town
100 degrees at midnight
Thirsty hornets hovering over a bucket, catching the slow drip from a hose faucet
No mosquitoes, flies, gnats, water bugs
Only fire ants
At night, the ground is alive with fire ants
My feet are covered with inflamed bites
Everyone's feet are covered with bites
