Power just came back on after being off for 3 days of sub freezing temperature. I expect it to go out again tonight. Water is about to get shut off because of frozen pump stations. Tree fell on my internet line but luckily it didn't snap. Cut branch chunks off the heavily sagging oak. Sagging from Icecover. Most everything's sagging. Gas is on. Heating hands with a range-top pizza oven. Pipes have yet to freeze. Pipes of many many thousands have frozen to bursting. Most people here don't understand how much of a fucking hassle a busted pipe actually is. Just keep it running. Cars frozen into the driveway. Start car for 10 minutes every 12 hours to prevent battery death. Charge phone in car as a fun activity. Eat all food from melting freezer, not cold enough outside to store frozen food. City says to boil snow for washing hands. Wash hands for 20 seconds because of pandemics. And don't leave the gas on too long or expect peaceful death. City says to stop dripping faucets to "help the water system". Fuck the city.
