Tomato

Last spring I planted a tomato plant in a large pot and placed it next to the back door so squirrels would give pause before attempting to thieve my fruit.
It yielded about a dozen orange-colored cherry tomatoes a week for several months. Just enough for a couple of salads.
When fall arrived it produced seven or eight tomatoes a week for a couple of weeks, then five or six a week, then three or four. Then two. Last week the total yield was one orange cherry tomato. The flavor was only a memory or what it was last spring
