The Crusher
I remember when I found out that most thrift stores get so many book donations they have to toss them into a garbage compactor on a regular basis. The crushed book cubes get packed into a semi and trucked off someplace. A friend of mine use to have the job of crushing the books. He said if the manager caught any employee taking books out of the crusher whey would get a warning and three warnings meant you got fired. On his last day he took as many books from the crusher as would fit in his car and brought them home. Mostly Mack Bolan's. I never cared for those.
