sxsw 2006

sxsw was last week and i took a more relaxed approach this year. I just decided i was gonna go to the closest place and/or catch a ride with anyone who wanted to take me with them. I'm gonna write a review of the things i saw and submit it somewhere maybe. here are the very best bands i saw.
-thee fine lines
-the crack pipes
-art brut
-the zom zoms
-black heart procession
-swearing at motorists
-elf power
-vietnam
-the faceless werewolves
-princess superstar
-the black angels
-the quarter after
-the high dials

needless to say i've been partying for the last 6 days. here are some highlights.
-tons of free lone star and pabst and no line @ the north loop block party.
-convincing the server at factory people to just give us a bottle of vodka so he wouldn't have to keep making us drinks.
-smoking out with the faceless werewolves in their van.
-doing really good coke @ 3am with a girl i recently met.
-smoking out with the bartendresses @ carousel after they closed.
-drinking in the bar at that really nice hotel on south congress.
-seeing fadi @ the victory grill block party kicking people out of the green room tent because it was his "job"
-drunk guy on bike downtown getting tasered several times by cops for unknown reason.
