Shot and Sting

The day after I got a flu shot in my right arm I was stung by a hornet on my left arm. The flu shot produced mild pain at the injection site. The hornet sting was painful and made a large red area around my bicep, then later swelled, then later became very itchy.
I got a flu shot because I don’t want to catch the flu. I got stung by a hornet because I didn’t want to get stung by hornets. I destroyed the hornets friends, children and home. For that I was stung and accepted the outcome graciously. I allowed the guilty hornet to live and rebuild it’s life.
